A Daily Schedule For Fitness Success
You must take small steps each day to reach your fitness goals. You can make a daily plan that includes the behaviors that will help you get closer to your goals. What does a daily schedule look like?
These are five daily habits that can help you achieve your goals.
1) Get up and fall asleep at the same time
First, you should wake up every morning and fall asleep at the same time each day. You will establish a consistent sleeping pattern. Consistency is key to your circadian rhythm, which is your internal clock.
Once you have developed this habit, you’ll soon realize that you don’t need an alarm clock to get up in the morning. Your body will automatically wake up at the same time each day. You will feel tired in the evening. Respecting this rhythm will help you develop consistent energy patterns, healthier hormones, and better recovery.
2 – Eat Breakfast, Lunch, And Dinner All at Once
Next, eat all your meals at the exact same time each day. Consistency is key to the body’s success, and so is your digestive system.
Consistent energy levels can be achieved by eating at the same time each day. You will be able to plan your meals by knowing when and what foods provide great energy.
3 Take a Daily Morning Walker
A morning walk is another great addition to your daily life. It is one of our favorite ways to get moving in your day. This is also a great time to unplug, plan or be present for the next day.
We all know how cold it can get in the mornings if you live in a cold area. Walking after work or at night is a good idea. If you need to, substitute a walk outside for some indoor activity like yoga or riding a stationary bicycle.
4) Start Your Day With 16oz of Water
Many of our new clients don’t drink enough water. Get 16 oz water to start your day.
This can be done by leaving a glass of water, or a bottle of water on your nightstand, or in your kitchen. This way, when you get up, the water will already be there and you can decide to drink it.
Drinking 16 oz water each morning will help you feel full and alert, keep your mind sharp, and help you reach your goal to drink half of your body weight in ounces per day.
5) Every Day
Finally, plan daily movement. We mentioned in the beginning that daily movement is key to achieving your goals. Schedule a time each day to get up and move.
You can do this movement in a variety of ways. It could be a walking session with your family or friends, a resistance training session at Apex Performance, or even a cardio workout at home. It doesn’t matter what type of exercise you do, it is important that you get moving every day. Clients who exercise consistently, regardless of whether they are exercising in the morning or the evening, have the best results.
